I wanted to show the process of developing my images to get the final design. This shows my experimenting part of the process and in this section I wanted to use different colours and resizing of images. The development shows the original picture and then the stages of colour I have used to create the final outcome. It also shows how using black and white on an image can change the atmosphere of an image, from being vibrant and loud to a deeper and darker atmosphere.

Water
This image was originally dull so on the one shown on the left I enhanced the colour which also made the red stand out and it became the key feature in the image. The image on the right shows the original image split into 9 different images which are all done in different effects. This shows different effects and filters I have put onto the images, which also shows my skills and some of the images are influenced by my artist reference.
Planes
These photos were originally very white and light but I wanted to add colour so I decided a light blue was the most appropriate colour as it is the colour of the sky, but to show that blue even more I turned the contrast up and brightness down. I also wanted to show the small details on some of these photos for example the 'KLM' so I made them a slightly darker blue that works well with the sky. On all of the photos a main focus is the white clouds so I needed to ensure the blue didn't over power the white, interesting details of the couds so to do this I also turned the contrast slightly up on the cloud shapes.
Boats
I wanted to look at different ways of travelling, so I decided to capture boats, as it isn't the typical way of travelling. Instead of just taking photographs of boats, I wanted to make it more interesting by adding a busy scene around it so the boat isn't the most obvious part of the photography and it doesn't stand out, but it is still a main part of the photograph.
Cars
Cars are a obvious way of travelling that most people use on a day to day basis without thinking much of it so I wanted to try and capture cars in a unique way. I have used long exposure for two of the images so it gives the background a blurred effect; I have also made the colour stand out on all of the photographs because all the photographers I am looking at experiment hugely with colour.
Sights
The sights show the natural beauty of each place I visited and what I have done to most of these photos is made them more vibrant so the colours really stand out. This is a very important aspect of the theme 'travel' because it shows how each country is different and how Greece has a lot more buildings and history compared to Turkey where it is a very green place with an old vibe to the buildings.
Water
I have chosen to look at water because it was a vital part of my travelling experience and I was able to capture the water at different angels and different times of the day, so some are crisp clear birds-eye-views of inside the ocean where as some show the islands in a darker setting. I also had an underwater camera which allowed me to experiment and I managed to get some images that show both underwater and above water shots.
Sunsets
I didn’t originally want to look at sunsets as part of my project, but when I was travelling I discovered how unique they were because even at the same time of day but in a different place the colours were so different. When I was taking the photographs I wanted to ensure I had the reflection of the sun in the sea which was influenced by Ron Bigelow, because he always gets a drop of the colour that has reflected from the sun into the sea.
Buildings
Looking at buildings was a lot different to what I expected because I initially thought in Greece all of the buildings would be clean white and small, which I saw in the Greek Island photography. But in Athens the buildings were full of graffiti and a lot of them had an old, cracked effect. So in my photographs I ensured I enhanced this effect and the old vibe came across.
