David Hockney is a painter and photographer who looks at various different objects, landscapes and people. Hockney started the idea of a panoramic photograph by taking lots of different pictures and putting them together in a collage to get a larger view. I like the work of Hockney because he manages to look at a large landscape or item and piece it together so it is one picture by layering lots of different images on top of each other.
Patrick Winfield
Patrick Winfield shoots Polaroid images, some done in different locations and some in the same place just different angles and lighting. He collages them together using a grid to get a picture, that even though is lots of different images, it looks like one. I like his work because he managed to get lots of different pictures and combine it into one but still get the grid effect, which is what I am hoping to achieve.
Formidable Photography
Formidable photography, also known as Mark McGowen looks at architecture from a different perspective. I like his work because he doesn't just look at a whole building, he selects sections that look the most interesting and some of his photographs start to not look like a building because of the patterns and angles he creates. I also like how his work is done in black and white and it has influenced me to make some of my own photos into black and white.
Building Photographs
These photographs are taken from different angles of unique looking buildings which showcase the different textures each building has to offer. Most of them are also done in black and white which adds a darker feel and atmosphere to the photographs.
